Official Report During Tropical Storm Erika

Official Report During Tropical Storm Erika

As you may know, St. Maarten has been warned about the presence of the Tropical Storm Erika.

The National Hurricane Centre (NHC) in its 8.00AM advisory reports that Tropical Storm (TS) Erika is slightly stronger and continues on its track towards the Leeward Islands.

The islands are now under a Tropical Storm Warning: Anguilla, Sint Maarten, St. Kitts & Nevis, Antigua & Barbuda, Montserrat, British Virgin Islands, Saba and St. Eustatius.

A Tropical Storm Warning means tropical storm conditions are expected within the next 12 to 24 hours. Tropical storm conditions are forecasted to start from late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

Even though Erika is considered a Tropical Storm and not a Hurricane in Simpson Bay Resort & Marina we took the proper considerations to prevent any damage or any unfortunate event during the pass of the storm.

We are welcoming incoming members and guests and you can be sure that you will have a wonderful stay during your vacation weeks.

In news related to the island, we are pleased to inform that the airport is in full operation.
